Due to the improvement of science and technology, the duty of firefighters includes not only provide disaster relief and rescue people nowadays, and it becomes more complicated than before.In the past, the disasters areusually fire alarm from factories or residence houses. Yet, at the present, there are chemistry disaster, conflagration of tall building and basement, toxic chemicals, radiation pollution and etc. Not only the duty but also the prevention practice increase. Firefighters need to face new and more disaster. Meanwhile, they take the responsibility of education of preventing disasters. Firefighters’ mental accommodation and compression resistance are both important.
The process of rescue cannot afford to waste a single minute. A tiny lapse can lead to a huge mistake. A wrong instruction or action will cause enormous loss of wealth or even human lives. The execution and stipulation of Standard Operation Procedure are very important, which makes firefighters calm when they are in the disorderly environment.
The efficacy of rescue influences people’s safety, and firefighters is the key man to improve it. This research aims at the relationship between firefighter’s psychological capital, Standard Operation Procedure, and job performance. This research adopts questionnaire survey procedure. We took firefighters in Kaohsiung as population, and analyze the data by SPSS20.0 for Windows for descriptive statistics, two-sample t-test, related analysis and regression analysis. Here’s the result we found out:
1. Psychological capital and Standard Operation Procedure are highly positive correlation
2. Psychological capital and job performance are highly positive correlation and positive influences.
3. Standard Operation Procedure and job performance are highly positive correlation and positive influences.
4. Standard Operation Procedure and psychological capital are extremely positive influences.
