CO2 makes earth atmosphere temperature higher that results to global warming and climate change which causes environmental problems. Natural ventilation as a passive environmtal control for building energy saving is eventually important strategy﹐especially for Taiwan located in the sub-tropical climate area with very good geographical ventilation application condition. Recently urban growth is very rapid in the Taiwan that also makes the residential space as a compact model which is not suitable for building cross ventilation. Therefore some buildings try to use wind tower design to enhance indoor space cooling vevtilation for energy saving purpose so that it becomes a crucial trend of building design works. However the research regarding to builing natural ventilation by using wind tower with Venture effect is few in Taiwan. This research focus on the situation of urban building lacking of outdoor air flow and few cross ventilation in the room space﹐and the ventilation factors of wind tower with Venture effect and its effectiveness of applying wind tower technology. The research experimental results show that in the condition of strong natural wind but less direct to building main elevation and without room cross ventilation the ventilation effective ratio of wind tower will be 0 for wind tower having single vent opening up to 5 for wind tower having opposite double vent openings﹐or that will be 4 up to 8 in the case of natural wind more direct to the building main elevation. It means the wind tower with Venture effect does working very well to enhance the room space natural ventilation. The research experimental results also show that in the condition of weak natual wind and less direct to building main elevation and without room coss veutilation the ventilation effective ratio of wind tower will be 1 for wind tower having opposite double vent openings up to 2 for wind tower using wind guiding device as wind catch booster, or that will be 1 and up to 4 in the case of natural wind direct to the building main elevation. It also implies the wind tower with Venturi effect by using a wind guiding device is working very well and even better particularly in the weak natural wind condition to increase indoor space natural ventilation effectireness.
