The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of CSR on organizational performance in the context of container shipping. We conducted the survey through questionnaires and collected 101 valid responses. Based on factor analysis, there are three CSR dimensions identified, namely, environmental responsibility, ethic and law responsibility, and economic responsibility. A structural equation modeling (SEM) approach was employed to test the research hypotheses. The results show that CSR had a positive effect on organizational performance. Practical implications of the research findings on improving CSR strategies are discussed in this research.
