Description
Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 營建管理學系碩士班 === 103 === Previous studies have shown that the traditional Knowledge Management System (KMS) comprised of document database and discussion forums tends to form a “passive” learning mode. The users of traditional KMS can only acquire knowledge by posting questions and getting responses from others. The knowledge provided by traditional KMS is usually specific-problem oriented, incomplete, unstructured, and fragmented that is not only hard to gather but also unable to meet the demands of knowledge learners who desire comprehensive knowledge. In response to the above-mentioned demands, the current study adopts Wiki technology to build a knowledge-sharing platform that provides a complete, editable, and expandable knowledge source. “Project Management” course is selected as a case study to test the applicability of proposed Wiki technology in improving the traditional knowledge acquiring and learning methods. From a questionnaire survey with 40 participants from the undergraduate and graduate students of the Department of Project Management of Chung Hua University, it’s found that more than 70% participants believe that with the aid of Wiki technology, they are more interested in learning project management. Besides, they have more confidence to get good grades; moreover, the participants also agree that comparing the use of Wiki technology with the use of other knowledge sharing platforms, they obtain more complete knowledge by using Wiki technology. In summary, this study shows that Wiki technology is useful in improving the learning performance of project management subject.
