Summary: | 碩士 === 中華大學 === 運輸科技與物流管理學系碩士班 === 103 === This study aims to design a traffic safety plans for the senior students(the fifth and the sixth graders) through “information technology into the teaching method and comparing the learning effectiveness of traffic safety awareness and their impact on traffic safety attitude between “information technology into the teaching method” and “traditional teaching model” for the senior students.
This study investigated and collected the traffic safety courses via literature analysis. Based on “the safety walking, security moving” unit, the nineth volume of textbook, “Health and Sports Field”, Hanlin Publishing, as the main teaching unit, and supplemented by the traffic safety site, “The pedestrian safety rules you need to know”, and “raise your hands to cross the road” as the additional information to design an traffic safety teaching plans.
Then a quasi-experimental design was adopted and the fifth graders of Wen-Chang Primary School, Dajia District, Taichung City, as experimental subjects. One class was taken as the experimental group of “information technology into teaching”, the other class acted as the control group of “traditional teaching”. Both were received four periods of traffic safety education learning. Both the two groups received the self-edited “traffic safety learning effectiveness test” and “Traffic Safety Attitude Scale” before and after the experiment surveying. Then they were measured by Mann-Whitney U test and Wilcoxon rank sum test for both before and after experimental surveying. Meanwhile, this study explored the data of “questionnaire of information technology into teaching used in traffic safety after learning”.
The results showed that the “information technology into teaching” approach can improve the traffic safety awareness of the senior students. Students have already realized the traffic safety concept which showed students were willing to learn traffic safety course. Therefore, schools should pay more attention to traffic safety education. The students think “information technology into teaching” approach can lead to their interest in learning, and consider that traffic safety education is very important and very helpful.
