This study inquires how the personal, family, school factors, the use of technology recreation, and the addiction to technology recreation affect students’ learning motivation of junior high school students. The survey is conducted by sampling on 251 students of junior high schools from northern, central, and southern Taiwan. Based on the literatures, the questionnaire is designed into four parts: the use of technology recreation, the addiction to technology recreation, learning motivation and personal information. The data is analyzed by descriptive statistics and one-way analysis of variance. The results are as follows: 1.The different personal, family, and school factors show significant differences in students’ learning motivation. 2.The students who have high tendency of using information research and who have low tendency of personal interaction have high learning motivation. 3.The students who have low addiction to technology recreation have high learning motivation. In conclusion, this study suggests that parents may discipline teenagers in a democratic way; parents may pay more attention to teenagers’ online personal interaction; teachers and parents may encourage teenagers to make good use of technology equipment to research information; teachers and parents may guide teenagers to prevent them from technology addiction.
