Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 商管專業學院碩士學位學程在職專班經營管理組 === 103 === Associated with trend and influence of globalization of research and development (R&;D), plus getting mature of new product development and global highly competitive environment, foreign enterprises are endlessly seeking for the suitable locations to establish their oversea R&;D centers so as to maintain their competitiveness. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to explore how to build an appraisal and selection model to establish the R&;D center for the lithium battery pack design. Our model considers five factors: “Technology”, “Geographical Location”, “Government Policy and Regulation”, “Efficiency”, and “Communication”. We conduct interview of the experts in the field of lithium batteries industry and collect 25 experts' comments by the questionnaires. The AHP method is then used to analyze the data for finding the industrial experts' preferences. According to the analysis and results, our study discovers that the lithium batteries industry is more favorable for two factors of “Technology” and “Efficiency” and also confirms that Taiwan at the current stage is the best location for foreign companies' oversea R&;D center.
