In the Qing Dynasty, the transportation between the two areas mainly relied on the river crossing that had to be charged some fees. Because Dong Yuwen and his son could not bear to see the villagers be exploited by gondoliers, they decided to cooperate with local gentry, carrying out Yongji Yidu for free. They then engraved the achievement with a stone, which is known as Yongji Yidu Stele now. Although Yongji Yidu has lost the function of relieve, the monument that records the good deed still stands in the original moorage -- Zi-Nan Temple, Sheliao Neighborhood and Fuxing Temple, Zhuoshui Village. This article starts from Yongji Yidu Stele, and discuss how these two temples inherit the spirit of public property production, using different methods to devote to local management. On the one hand, Zi-Nan Temple which worships Earth God, starts from the nearby neighborhood-- Sheliao Neighborhood, and gradually expands to the whole Jhushan Township, and it even helps the government agencies and organizations that belong to other county. On the other hand, Fuxing Temple which worships Matsu allocates funds to service the villagers who live in Mingjian Township, even though their financial resources are limited. There is a difference between the fate of these two temples currently: Zi-Nan Temple is more prosperous than Fuxing Temple. Despite the fact, the two temples’ attitude toward community service is the same: both of them want to revitalization the period of Yongji Yidu. By comparing the history and the development of these two temples, we can sum up that continue to provide public property production is proved to be feasible in the future. 耿慧玲 江寶釵 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 193 zh-TW |
