Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 103 === In recent years, the development of renewable energy resources has become an important issue in many countries. With the emergence of photovoltaic generation, combined with moving cloud shadows, voltage fluctuations problems may appear in the PV-connected grid. This thesis adopts moving cloud shadows model to evaluate PV impacts on power quality due to cloud shadows movement over high-penetration PVs in a distribution system. The moving cloud shadows model is applied to estimate voltage fluctuations in low-voltage distribution systems due to cloud shadow movement over high-penetration distributed PV. Because there are infinite combinations of cloud patterns and wind speeds. Using this model to estimate voltage fluctuations is easier than cloud model. Moving cloud shadows model is based on observations of PV power outputs on typical days with bright sun, blue sky, and white cumulus clouds moving overhead. Cloud elevation, thickness, and position are not of particularly important. Instead, only the shadows are of great concern. This thesis uses Open Distribution System Simulator (OpenDSS, or simply, DSS) to estimate voltage fluctuations on distribution system feeders. OpenDSS offers the advantage of fast power flow analysis and it is implemented as both a stand‐alone executable program and an in‐process COM server DLL designed to be driven from a variety of existing software platforms. After OpenDSS simulation is done, the graphical user interface developed by Matlab Graphic User Interface (GUI) is used to collect and show the results.
