碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 勞工關係學系暨研究所 === 103 === The main purpose of my paper is to understand that the self-employed teleworkers is working patterns on influence work-life balance. Self-employed teleworkers who use modern technology equipments and professional skills to develop a new independent workers, having advantages of flexible work time, workplace at home. Therefore, by interviewing the self-employed teleworkers, understanding that whether this kind of work pattern can help work-life balance. In my research, using the qualitative methods include that a documentary analysis and an in-depth interview to collect data. Firstly, the literatures are summarized and organized, including the definition of Self-employed teleworkers, characteristics, and past research associated with teleworkers, as well as the theoretical basis associated with work-life balance. Secondly, according to the aim and question of my research develops interview outline. According to the definition of Self-employed teleworkers in my research find 10 Self-employed teleworkers to interview. After the interview, translate the sound recording into a text and then to summarize as well as analyze information. Drawing on my findings: Firstly, Self-employed teleworkers’re complete working patterns, including workflow, tools, workplace, distribution of working time, choice motivation and positive and negative impacts. Secondly, Self-employed teleworkers about three dimensions 1.work pattern 2.family 3.personal life each other relationships. Whether working with the family or working with personal-life, all have positive and negative spillover effects each other. Thirdly, the work-life balance situation of Self-employed teleworkers. Found from the data, most of self-employed teleworkers mentioned that as long as self-discipline well-managed, the work-life balance can be achieved. Finally, summarize above findings and make some conclusions：Firstly, from the self-employed teleworker's own perspective to examine the characteristics of their work patterns, so that reduce the external perception gap about their work patterns. Secondly, Self-employed teleworkers’re working patterns compared with full-time job more help balancing work and life. Thirdly, under the self-management in good condition, self-employed teleworkers're work patterns can help balance work and life. And give some advises to the government, the workers themselves, and the follow-up researchers.
