The methods of this thesis are empirical law, including case studying and expert interviews. The results are as following: (1) The five prosecution threshold and principles of Internet defamation cases; (2) The inspection standards between the freedom of speech and the actual malice; (3) The inevitable trend of the decriminalization of defamation.
