In this study, qualitative research method was used to analyze life courses of volunteer participants of drug rehabilitation program in Pingtung branch of the Taiwan After-Care Association. Major topics among the collected information are as follows: 1.Family: There are issues such as deviant behavior of family members and significant others, inconsistent parenting, and lack of interaction in the participants’ families. These issues set bad examples to the participants and caused poor communication. 2.School: The participants were prone to coming into conflict with peers and have misconduct. Teacher's attention, harsh attitude, and labeling also mattered. 3.Society: Participants’ work and relationship background led them to drug abusing. 4.History of drug abuse: This topic includes participants’ beginning and worsening of drug abuse, as well as the caused sequela. 5.Turning point in the course of drug rehabilitation: Participants started to have self-awareness of future development responding to the rehabilitation program. 6.Future expectation: The participants worry about economy, marriage, and career. They hope to be accepted by institutions similar to the After-Care Association, which can provide their accommodation and learning of livelihood skills. Overall, the following suggestions are proposed: 1. Healthy family functioning. 2. School education improvement. 3. Enhancing the community function in preventing drug abuse. 4. Increasing professional assistance to private rehabilitation institutions. 5. Promoting interaction between drug rehabilitation program participants and their family. 6. Promoting employment of the participants with social resources after their rehabilitation. SHU-LUNG YANG 楊士隆 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 109 zh-TW |
