Microfludic reaction technology is also rapidly growthing in many areas of application. Its heat-transfer coefficient is significantly higher than the corresponding value for conventional batch reactors. The microfludic reactors designed to do synthetic chemistry are with desired effects, simple to build, and easy to modify. Very short mixing time can be achieved. The high heat-exchanging efficiency allows fast heating and cooling for reaction mixtures in microfludic device. The small volumes used by microfludic reactors enable much safer use of highly toxic or explosive reactants. The desired compounds are synthesized with stable conversion and good reproducibility. In this thesis three saccharinate salts of pyridine derivatives were examined as the catalyst, using batch reaction to compare their respective influence on the conversion of acylation reaction between anhydride and alcohol. The best catalyst was found to be DMAP saccharinate that was selected for latter microfludic reaction studies. The organocatalyst DMAP exhibits acute dermal toxicity, whereas the corresponding saccharinate salt produces only local irritation upon skin contact. The acylation reaction was studied using two anhydrides, with eight alcohols and two amines. The optimization of acyltion reaction with DMAP saccharinate salt as the organocatalyst in microfluidic reactor was described, the acylation reaction being very successfully.
