Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 通訊工程學系 === 102 === The research presents a “dual channel switched RF-frontend beam-former” in order to solve the serious interference problem in the LTE small cell base stations. The beam-former system with SON (self-organizing Network) technique can regulate phased array antenna beam in different environment. The proposed system is different with others: it has four directions each one of them can generate two separate and non-overlapping coverage of radio beam, thus the system can receive signal through two independent channels. The beam-former system focus on the new type of Hybrid phase shifter that is at the later stage of the low noise amplifier. By utilizing two hybrid phase shifter, the phased array antenna would generate two opposite radio beams, and we can regulate these beams we need by adjusting switches. The research included an implementation of switched beamforming receiver, inductorless low noise amplifier, switch and ninety degrees hybrid phase shifter, all of them were simulated and fabraicated by using TSMC 0.18um CMOS process.
