Summary: | 碩士 === 元智大學 === 機械工程學系 === 102 === On May 25, 2008 at 12:15, there was a fire occurred in "Ling-Mu-Hua-Cheng" located at No. 22, Lane 803, Chung -Cheng Road, Sin-Chuang District , New Taipei City. Fire ignited from the third floor inhabitant at the beginning and the high temperature smoke spread upward due to chimney effect produced by the courtyard of the building. As the fire smoke reached to the roof and accumulated downward into the 10th floor inhabitant due to the sun shading board. Finally, this fire accident, resulted in three tenants dead tragedy on the 10th floor.
This research is taking "Ling-Mu-Hua-Cheng" fire case and using the FDS software developed by NIST for computer simulation of fire and evacuation in this case. With the obtained data including temperature , CO concentration and gas layer height in order to understand the variations in fire scene. And by using different design parameters, such as increased additional sprinkler system, changing the heat release rate, changing the width of the escape door, changing the number of the evacuating people for simulating different parameters on the effects of fire evacuation. The simulation result expects to find the best fire protection measures in this type of building in order to increase the evacuation time of personnel and reduce casualties.
