The proportion of building fires is much higher compared to other fires in Taiwan, plus people lack of fire training and evacuation drills, if a fire happened often will cause heavy loss of life and property. Although the number of fire incident has decreased year by year, the man-made fire case still remains high, mainly due to the bad habits of people who smoking and throw cigarette butt carelessly induce a fire. This is related to poor education level and social ethics, but the previous regulation incomplete without strictly prohibit smoking in public places, this problem must be improved in order to reduce/prevent fire caused by such behavior This thesis is taking the Four Seasons hotel fires as an example of complex commercial building fore study, and using FDS software to simulate personnel evacuation in the fire field scenario. The fire heat release rate, the size/width of the door and the number of exit to escape is changed in order to get the impact on personnel evacuation. The impact of increasing number of sprinkler equipment on personnel evacuation has been analyzed. The simulation result expects to be a reference for facilitating further research officers.
