Summary: | 碩士 === 元智大學 === 社會暨政策科學學系 === 102 === The specific aim of this study is to explore the relationship between teachers’ job stress, negative emotions and professional ethics among elementary schools in Taoyuan County. The questionnaire was mailed to a sample of 383 potential respondents stratified sampled from 36 elementary schools in Taoyuan County. The method to carry out this study was using a survey comprised of three questionnaires, “Job Stress of Elementary School Teachers Scale”, “Daily Emotional Experience of Elementary School Teachers Scale” and “Professional Ethics of Elementary School Teachers Scale”. 377 respondents completed the questionnaire and 376 valid questionnaires were used for the final analysis. The effective response rate was 98.4%. To address this issue, four types of statistical analyses were used: descriptive statistics, t-test, 1-Way MANOVA and multiple regression analysis. Five main research findings are worth summarizing:
(1) Unmarried and junior classroom teachers served at medium-sized schools are more stressful than regular ones.
(2) Unmarried and junior classroom teachers served in townships have more negative emotions than regular ones.
(3) Primary teachers with different background variables of “Gender”, “Age”, “Years of Service” and “Position” significantly differ in perception of professional ethics.
(4) The results show a striking effect of job stress on professional ethics, and student performance has the worst effect on professional ethics of primary teachers.
(5) The results show a striking effect of negative emotions on professional ethics, and sense of shame has the worst effect on professional ethics of primary teachers.
