The advanced active safety technologies usually require accurate calibrations which consequently lead to time-consuming process and bottleneck of production. The purpose of this study is to investigate the variations of an actual ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) calibration process and determine the key factors by Cause-Effect diagram, Pareto diagram, 2^3 factorial design, statistical analysis and VCATS. The statistical analysis result indicates the key factors are 1) the travel of the detected targets, 2) the length of module’s adjusting pin and 3) placed position of vehicles. The optimized values of the key factors are 272cm of travel distance, 30.48cm of the pin length and the rightest position on the calibration machine. The calibration process with optimized factors improves the process FTT by 8% and better the machine’s Cpk from 0.58 to 1.4. By the methodology above, manufacturers can eliminate the possibility of re-work and break through the bottleneck. That would make the intelligent vehicle to become a low-carbon emission and low-polluting products. Yun-Kung Chung 鍾雲恭 學位論文 ; thesis 78 zh-TW
