However, folding fans get damaged more easily than other kinds of paintings which are mounted with wood because of its structural specialty and the way, which people use. This study aims to provide the suggestions for future displaying need by discussing the concept and application of folding fan conservation with examples of damaged folding fans. In the case, it is obvious to see that folding fans have the serious powdering fiber characters. The structures of the folding fans are too fragile to conserve if there is no extra protection provided. In order to show the respect to original spirit and preserve the original pattern of the folding fans, the displaying style and the following conservation needs to be taken into consideration in advance in the repairing procedure. The above-mentioned way can also keep the version completeness of the art. Besides these, the most important part of conversation is to prevent the folding fans from natural damages.
