| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 視覺傳達設計系碩士班 === 102 === The decade of Bauhaus, the teacher Kandinsky and Paul Klee are trying to visualize music, and bring them together. Therefore, the creations want to visualize Jazz music by experiment attitude and Synesthesia way. The sample of the creation-Jazz has strong humanistic spirit and it has a lot of styles through the time. So I want to fulfill Jazz spirit by visual creation.
The way of creation has two stages. One is change hearing to the describing words and another is changing describing words to experimental creation. Changing hearing to the describing words has two ways. First I collect the informations from document and then I use the inductive method. I make the eight experimental creations by document’s describing words and inductive method’s describing words. Eight experimental creations which are the main Jazz style from 1920 to 1980 choose by Su Chong (1999). After experimental creations, I review and take the visual element from it. The visual element be used in the ten creation which focus on the style of electric-swing Jazz.
When the creation completed, I know the possibility and way to visualize music and try to build the method. At the same time, I can find the new technique to display the music. For instance, I can use the brush which has the sense of rate and I use sound wave to display music. Finally from the creation show the Jazz spirit and I hope can be the reference of Jazz, music and visual design.
