| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 休閒運動研究所 === 102 === Since cycling around the island is a difficult challenge, what is the reason for the cyclists to depart? What kind of experiences do cyclists get? How do the experiences influence or even change their work and life? This study used semi-structured interviews to collect data. Five cyclists belonging to Yunlin 149 team who had experiences of cycling around the island were interviewed. The study were tried to find out whether the experiences of cycling around the island match the six traits of serious leisure. Since cyclists regard cycling around the island as a must, they had found the beauty of Taiwan and made their body or mind grow no matter the starting reasons were different. The profound experiences also prompted them to change their thoughts-learning to observe, being more active and contentment.
In addition, the result figured out that cyclists cycling around the island made lots of effort and got some benefits. That’s why they persisted in the end though obstructions were ahead. As a team, the cyclists must departure and go back together. After cycling around the island, the cyclist regarded cycling as an indispensable role in life and would make endless effort in cycling world.
