Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 資訊管理系 === 102 === To achieve the advantages of resource allocation for infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) providers, it is strategic important to understand those methods how to allocate resources effectively. Existing research has focus on optimization of allocating physical resources to achieve load balance and increase resource utilization. In particular, few have efficiently allocated resources to maximize the revenue. This study uses resource allocation and overbooking model from revenue management (RM) to optimize the allocation of resources and manage cancellations and no-shows in order to increase revenues and improve resource utilization. Considering multi-phase and multi-unit demand, this study proposes dynamic programming model and approximate revenue function to develop the resource allocation strategies and deal with those problem. In addition, the propose models which integrates overbooking can minimize the loss of revenue and enhance the resource utilization. Finally, this study successfully for using revenue management model to improve the resource allocation efficiency and increase revenues in IaaS cloud computing services. The findings provide a different perspective to achieve the best allocation of resources and maximize revenue. It as a reference to IaaS providers.
