Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 企業管理系 === 102 === The developed countries, such as America and Japan, have skilled plastic injection factories. These countries face the more severe environment than Taiwan; However, they still have appreciable profits. We believe that it is because of their management strategies; Thus, believing that as long as Taiwan finds the management strategies, the plastic injection industry in Taiwan can develop successfully. For the reason, this study hopes to find the factors to improve a company’s management and operating.
We define the family business, its features, the plastic products, ingredients, processing methods and molds by literature review. We also use the three aspects of strategy, Porter five forces analysis, and SWOT analysis to be our research methods.
The case we discussed points out that after the second generation took over the leadership of the company, the changes of the company strategy include bringing in the quality management system of ISO-9001, rearranging the traffic flow of the factory, adjusting the process of orders receiving, bringing in the system of automatic production, and establishing the department of mold. We will one by one discuss the purpose and content of each strategy.
Finally, we propose some advices for companies by case studies, including the decrease of cost, the choice of new ingredients, light weight of products, the inner decoration of mold, and innovative operating process.
