Moreover, due to the policy promoted by Taiwan government, raising the convenience of transportation for people on both sides. Both in trade and economic, social, and academic exchanges and other aspects of health care exchanges become more frequent. Chinese hospitals have had a boom with their improving quality of medical care. This includes everything from better equipment and facilities to better service. Taiwan’s hospitals are now having to compete with Chinese hospitals, need to find more revenue from sources other than the national health insurance program. Chinese professionals also are coming to Taiwan in various exchange programs, and this trend is growing. Thus far, there has been no research on this area development. This research looks at these changes. A questionnaire was developed after a review of the literature and after interviews with hospital staff that are responsible for the exchange of medical care workers from China. Those medical care professionals with a Visitor’s Visa are the subjects of this study. The survey period was from May 1 to June 15, 2014. A total of 98 Chinese visitors were contacted and 90 usable questionnaires were collected. The usable rate was 91.84%. The data in this study was analyzed using software SPSS for Windows 17.0 statistical tools, and based on the purpose and hypothesis of this study, we adopted descriptive statistics and chi-square test as statistical analysis. The results showed the following: males made up the majority (57.8%), and the most common age was from 40-49 years (48.9%), they had 16-20 years of seniority in service (36.7%), most of the service hospitals were located in North China (26.7%) and East China (25.6%), physicians were the largest group of professionals (43.3%), and most participants had undergraduate degrees (75.6%). The primary means to fly to Taiwan was by direct flights (58.8%), the majority were first time visitors (77.8%), the average time in Taiwan was nine days (21.1%), the application process for most was from 15 to 21 days (31.1%), apply to Taiwan disturbing factors considered for approval for a long time as the mainland's largest distress (51.1%), the most common reason for being chosen for the exchange based on seniority (33.3%), the main purpose was to visit Taiwan exchange (54.4 %), and travel arrangements from Taiwan were mostly (51.1%). Based on the findings, the following recommendations are made: 1) curricula should be specifically designed to attract these exchange visitors, 2) hospitals that are not so easily accessed, especially those not along the coast, need to consider how to improve their appeal, 3) long-term cooperative projects could be considered with Chinese hospitals, and 4) hospitals should consider how to maximize benefits for these exchange visitors by utilizing existing resources.
