Summary: | 碩士 === 國立陽明大學 === 臨床暨社區護理研究所 === 102 === The incidence of breast cancer has been progressively increasing in Taiwan. In women who are suspected had this diagnosis, they suffer a tremendous psychological pressure during the diagnosis and treatment period.
This study aimed to: (A) understand the psychological impact and emotional reactions in the breast cancer women before surgery, (B) investigate the adaptation and help from the Solution-Focused Groups for the women with breast cancer before surgery.
Research Methods: We conducted 8 Solution-Focused Groups and qualitative focus groups for women with impending breast surgery .Totally 25 breast cancer womens participated in the study.
Results: We used the content analysis extraction method to identify four themes, which are: " Being panic and doctor shopping when establishing diagnosis ",
" Falling into the abyss while diagnosis established ", "Facing the fear and choice of breast surgery ", "Confusion, acceptance and adaptation ".
Research recommendations: Breast cancer women facing a great challenge of stress management before surgery, Solution-Focused groups provided a platform for them to exchange care information and express emotions, which could reduce women's fear and uncertainty of surgery and improve the quality of care for breast cancer women.
