Previous studies indicated that a single-dose testosterone in young women may influence their social interaction. Morality is an important component of social cognition which contains moral judgment and reasoning. In the present study, 20 healthy young women received a single-dose testosterone. We investigated the acute testosterone effect on moral judgment and reasoning. Our data supported that morality was modulated by testosterone administration in healthy women. We suggested that a single-dose testosterone administration increased utilitarian moral judgments in personal-evitable dilemmas, did not influence moral evaluations, reduced amygdala-PFC connectivity and decreased amygdala and AIC activation to the accidental harm.
