Because there a great amount of privacy information in clinical trial, the issue needs more attention. Role-based access control model be selected from access control models because it is be used frequently, and based on the model to develop ontology. Whether role-based access control model or ontology with web ontology language, they could not express full concept about access control when the ontology be developed. Therefore, semantic web rule language is used to describe rules of clinical trial. Semantic web rule language could derive from the rules and facts which be known in ontology, and thus control resources and access in clinical trials by the rules. This study uses the protégé editor and Pellet inference engine to operator and derive from ontology and rules, and find the implied facts successfully. By the ontology which is developed in this study, the management of access control in clinical trials will be more efficiency and safety.
