The current study intended to apply digital archive resources to the instruction of history subject at vocational high schools, with effectiveness and limitations of such application investigated. Through the use of the method of case study interviews, the researcher obtained that digital archive resources were of the proposition to 1.promote students’motivation and interest in history learning; 2.expand and deepen history learning for students; 3.strengthen students’ cognition of history learning; 4.enhance thinking ability for students; 5.stimulate students’ affective attachment toward history; 6.inspire ideas for students claiming history as their professional field. In contrast, digital archive resources were limited in terms of classification of learning contents on the network, and linking among web pages. Based on these findings, the study offers practical suggestions for history teachers of vocational high schools, educational authority concerned, and future researchers.
