During this six-week experiment, both groups practiced oral reading fluency for fifty minutes per week. All participants received pre- and post-tests conducted by two raters whose inter-rater reliability on accuracy was 0.82, rate was 0.99, the NAEP was 0.82 and WCPM was 0.96 respectively. Results of the study show that the participants in the experimental group performed statistically and significantly better than the participants in the control group on oral reading fluency in terms of accuracy, rate, and WCPM but NAEP.
