Description
Summary:碩士 === 文藻外語大學 === 華語文教學研究所 === 102 === This paper examines the implementation of a systematic instructional model based on the ADDIE instructional design model. The theory of multiple intelligences was used as the basis for the development of an electronic picture book “Cici the Dog” aimed at enhancing interest in learning Chinese among children in Seattle. With the assistance of 17 students in three small classes, we used the electronic picture book “Cici the Dog”, which was created by the author, to teach Chinese for 60 minutes per week for 3 weeks. During the teaching experiment, information was gathered through classroom observation, a teaching journal, questionnaires, and in-depth interviews. Evaluation results indicate that 71 % of the students enjoyed the course, 65 % expressed satisfaction and enjoyed the electronic picture book, and 53 % felt a greater interest in learning Chinese. These findings prove the feasibility of applying the theory of multiple intelligences to the design of electronic picture books and teaching strategies for Chinese language courses. Based on the research conclusions, this paper also presents suggestions for the instruction of Chinese and lists directions for further research in the future.
