Through the participants’ self-narrative of his career transition process, an insight was gained into the impact and significance of social support on the participant’s interdisciplinary learning of sports professional practices during his school years. Through the narrative inquiry method in qualitative research and presented through story-telling, the interdisciplinary learning process was reconstructed. The data sources include: the participants’ in-depth interviews, observations and records during the research period, written logs, and collection of relevant documents. For the data analysis part, the narrative analysis and thematic analysis methods were adopted. Finally, after the data collection, the paper underwent crystallization for integrated presentation. Additionally, after the participants’ examination, the research process was written to express the stand and reflection of the researcher, thereby enhancing the faithfulness of this paper. Findings show that social support has its importance during the participant’s career transition process, while self-determination also plays a pivotal role during the process of career transition and interdisciplinary learning.
