Video analysis is also popular in recent years. This study is to develop a combination of input, operation, and output integrated basketball tactic analysis system, and first develop object tracking system as the video input operational purpose. In this study the former is analyzed using the latter. We verify the efficiency of the system as a reference for optimized system validity. The method of our research is tracking the route of the point guards of all teams in two of the 2012 William Jones Cup competitions manually, and then parameterizing the competition record to obtain movement transform points, moving trajectories and distances. The result shows that the distance of the winners are less than losers, but movement transform points opposite. On the competition record, the lower proportion of point guards shots as team shots, the better chance to win. In system verification, the current system can record coordinate and moving trajectory effectively, the relative distance can be used for the comparison between the point guards, but the scale translation and axis calibration in absolute distance are still for improvement. It’s suggested that can increase research object, including increasing the number of competitions and players, or different positions.
