Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 國民小學教師在職進修公民與社會教學碩士學位班 === 102 === The issue of climate change has brought increasing concerns in recent years. IPCC(Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) clearly pointed out in the fourth edition of Assessment Report (AR4) in 2007 that the trend of the future impact of climate change will become more clear in the future. Because of the geographical location feature, Taiwan has a relatively high possibility of the occurrence of natural disasters. When coupled with the effects of climate change, we need to focus on the critical issue of improving disaster prevention and adaptation capacity. In promoting climate change adaptation ability, it is helpful to build awareness and capacity if we can start as soon as possible in the elementary school education. The goal is to understand the elementary school students' knowledge on climate change and the factors that affect the adaptation ability of the student. In this study, a total sample of 260 students of the fifth and sixth grade students of Da-Feng elementary school in New Taipei City are selected for the questionnaire about their climate change knowledge and adaptation capacity. The questionnaire is divided into three sections, including climate change cognition and the impact of climate change, adaptation-related behavior in daily life, as well as the background of the surveyed students. Based on the survey data, this study applies descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA analysis, correlation and multiple regression methods for analysis and discussion. It is observed in the study that basic knowledge of climate change, school learning, reading habits and information sources are the main factors. We can promote the capacity building of elementary school students by integrating the above factors into our campus learning environment.
