The survey data were collected from students in four-grader to six-grader of Public Elementary Schools in New Taipei City. Researcher used questionnaires to collect data that is composed by three scales, the first part is "personal information"; the second part is "parents and teachers’ disciplinary style scale"; the third part is "attitude that pupils look upon tardiness scale". Considering whether questionnaires are valid and reliable, we surveyed four hundreds and fifty samples by convenience sampling. Four hundreds and twenty-one students responded the questionnaires and four hundreds and sixteen were non-missing responses, yielding the response rates of 92.44%. The statistical analysis for this study are presented as follows: descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), chi-square test, pearson correlation analysis, and multiple stepwise regression analysis. The conclusions were summarized as following: 1.Children from single-parent families and grandparents home are late for school more often than two-parent families, but overall, family structure does not affect the attitude that pupils look upon tardiness. 2.Parents and teachers’ disciplinary styles do not directly affect situation that students are late for school. 3.Parents and teachers can cause students to develop concept of punctuality through disciplining. 4.Students with the concept of punctuality can reduce the frequency that students are late for school. 5.The frequency that students are late for school and the attitude that pupils look upon tardiness are negative correlation. Based on the statistical analysis, this study provides the suggestions for improving situation that students are late for school and attitude that pupils look upon tardiness for school teachers and children’s parents. 謝俊義 2014 學位論文 ; thesis zh-TW
