| Summary: | 碩士 === 大同大學 === 資訊經營學系(所) === 102 === Because of the convenience that internet and modern transportation had brought us, countries no longer have barriers between, Eastern and Western culture and ideology has a variety of collision. To let both different cultures understand each other, they must start looking at each other by values, and the fastest way to understand is through taking value survey.
This study is to investigate the differences between Western and Eastern Value, using both Chinese Value Survey and Schwartz Value Survey as different cultures of East and West for research subject to fill, discuss the different value between Eastern and Western people, whether the Schwartz Value Survey applicable to Eastern people and is Chinese Value Survey needed to be more circumspect. After using Exploratory Factor Analysis, the result of Chinese Value Survey have conclude five factors moral discipline, humility, order, obedience and self-denial. And for Schwartz Value Survey’s result concluded Safety and care, fair treatment, independent and conservative as four different factors.
After the correlation analysis between two surveys, the result is that apart from moral discipline and self-independence, other factors were significantly correlated, which means "moral discipline" and "self-independence" each individual Eastern and Western values, while the remaining values of East and West have similar consensus. Based on the result, the two value surveys obtained in this study were significantly related in common and can be combined to each other in Eastern and Western Values Survey. If use Schwartz Value Survey on Eastern culture, to make the value survey more circumspect, it is suggested to add self-independence as one of the factor.
