The fuel costs are higher than selling prices is one of the reasons why the Taiwan Power Company losses recently.
Load management is the most efficient method to reduce the demand during the peak load period, and it had been adopted by many power companies. Actually the Taiwan Power Company does not apply much load management to the residential customers so far. Therefore, this thesis proposes a tariff of the priority service for customer choice.
The proposed method distinguishes the electricity price by power outage rate. The higher power outage rate that customers choose the lower rate they get. Power companies expect to feedback customers with the discount which is from the reduction of fuel costs during peak load period. Thus power companies can reduce the fuel costs and capital investments, and save the expense of electricity.
