This system corrects the drawback of traditional documentation record and and freeway deficiency management. However, the inspectors are experiencing issues related to tablet and interface operation. Based on results of previous researches, 70% of the interviewees agreed that the “Freeway Slope Inspections” successfully shortens manual operation time at the later stages of the inspection task and improves the overall task efficiency. As for interface design, screen reflection issue causing eye discomfort or blurry screen content occur due to poor coloring when using the tablet duing the day. This not only brings fatigue to the user but also impedes viewing perception; the operation efficiency is thus affected indirectly. Hence, this research will be focusing on investigation of relationship between color and interface legibility. Testing and verification will be conducted based on the method of coloring and operation interface design presented in cited material. Two experience samples of different darkness of background color are designed based on the original interface design of “Freeway Slope Inspections,” and the testers are ask to test interface legibility and task operation efficiency. The final conclusion as follows is reached after analyzing all questionaires: 1.Font design: Most of testers agree that 22sp font size on the display screen with a resolution of 320dpi is not sufficient; readability can thus be enhanced by increasing and broadening the font size. 2.Font readability on current background color: Degree of clarity of dark blue font on white background is higher than white font on dark blue background. Dark blue font is placed on backgrounds of yellow, orange and red respectively, with each color having high brightness/contrast and color resolution, it is found that dark blue font on yellow background has the highest readability, dark blue font on orange background comes next and dark blue font on red background has the least readability. It is thus known that dark color font with high brightness/contrast background has the most optimized reading legibility on tablet screen. 3.Viewability of button and interface background color: Dark color background is often more popolar among all testers and posts better performance in terms of legibility and viewing comfort.
