Description
Summary:碩士 === 大同大學 === 工程管理碩士在職專班 === 102 === The computer optical mouse is combination of electronic, optical, and mechanical technologies that has been widely used as an input device for over two decades. Taiwanese manufacturers have gained leading positions in the supply of key components and the OEM production of these devices. Accurate assessments of the demand for new products could help optical mouse manufacturers to adjust their use of resources and thereby enhance their competitiveness in the industry. This study employed the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) in conjunction with expert questionnaires to assign the relative weights of assessment factors in the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments of the supply chain involved in the development of new products. The construct layer included cost factors, key component factors, environment factors, and supply chain factors, and the top five criteria in the factor layer were material costs, specifications, manufacturing costs, inventory costs and product design flexibility. Our results guided the formulation of suggestions for current manufacturers and those interested in entering the industry.
