Therefore, the most important thing of smartphone maker is how to select a suitable liquid crystal display (LCD). Meanwhile, the supply chain management is very important in the smartphone industry. The first key mission is the supplier selection. If we can select supplier which can achieve our product specification and fulfill all of demand, it will increase our competitive advantage in this filed. The research here is based on literature study and consults experts to build up the survey criteria and modeling. It can help decision maker to have an objective and efficient method when smartphone maker faces to TFT LCD supplier selection question. The result of this research comes out “ Technology ability”, “ Manufacture management”, “Qualify management”, “Cost management” and “Business relationship management” as five main criteria and other seventeen sub criterion. After that, it will combine Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to decide the weight ratings of relative criteria for each sub criterion. The top five items of final study result are “Innovation ability”, “Reliability management”, “R&D ability”, “Process improvement ability” and “Product unit price”. The research hopes to set up one evaluation model that is LCD supplier selection in smartphone field. It can offer for smartphone maker and related industries for reference, and then build up one objective and completed decision making system.
