How do these fears come from? How does the artists’s creation and “Self-identity” be controlled by the fears? The researcher distinguish the configuration of identity for “self” from “others” by reviewing the whole studying stage; then explore how young female artists which just entered the realm of art face to the relationship among self, others and creation with self experience. Finally, the researcher tries to specify how artist could get along with the fears and find the possibility to build the self-subjectivity through investigating and analyzing the relationship. Under grouping education constitution, researcher haddiscovered that people’s self mentality and judging ability were often influenced by Others’ instillation, and it would gradually lead to the lack of “Self-identity” .The lost of Self was caused by overly relying on others, and due to this fact, researcher had experienced an overwhelming anxiety. Even when engaging with highly interest and more independence art creation, it was still hard to escape from others’ perspective. Therefore, as a researcher with more rational thinking, it would be an honor to discover and help face to the inner fear through this essay. This research was conducted by Action Research to clarify the relationship between self and others through Self-narration. In addition, the researcher interviewed two female artists whose age, artistic background, and educational experienceswere similar to the researcher herself to discuss the following issues, “What are the collective fears for female artists” and “How do these fears come from”. The result showed that the greatest fear for female artists, age between twenty and thirty, was Fears of others’disapproval. Others could be referred to family, teacher, artist’s inner- self and so on. In order to coexisting with fears in the process of art-making, the researcher managed to sort out “Six methods to coexist with fears” at the end of this research by citingBayles& Orland(1993) book, Art & Fear,and modifying it based on personal experiences of interviewed female artists and researcher herself. Theses six methods are: do before say; think outside the box; be prepared for everything; explore fraternity; self guidance; and self improvement.
