Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 民族音樂學研究所 === 102 === Zhongruan is a plucked string instrument. Its sound is produced in two steps: after a string is plucked, the sound will be enhanced through resonance of the string vibration with the sound box (a circle body). To some extent, however, the sound timber is affected by mode of panel vibration (types of vibration and its correspondence – natural vibration frequency). Therefore, based on the theory of Finite Element Method, this dissertation aims to find out the relationship between timber and mode of panel vibration through analysis of vibration of mode and spectrum by adopting ANSYS computer program. A hypothesis is set up for this project that there are 3 elements influencing timber: the shape of bar, the thickness of panel and the shape, size, and place of sound hole. Accordingly, these three elements are varied in order to find out which one is the most influential factor to vibration amplify. After that, I adopt the method, Harmonic Response Analysis, to see how the shape of bar functions as one of an decisive elements of timber.
