Through analysis on the art experience and farming village proposition Tugou passes on, the study observes how aesthetic values are established in farming village: art is not only a role of beautification, or merely a physical space transformation, but also an impact on the dynamics of social relations. This dissertation takes the perspective from the farming village, farmers, farming industry and a decade of effort to document all observed art. Main methodology used to analyze events and meanings within in this paper is qualitative research, and the written work is then compiled through process of experience. Throughout the formation of the work, it is discovered that the form of art has gradually transformed. One of the questions faced in this paper is to understand how the village can be successfully operated as a museum under the limitation of living, while accumulating community resources and capability to achieve the next transition. The chance of achieving both immediate and sustainable success after the completion of farming village art museum has also been called into question. The objective of forming a new farming village value and image is based on the platform of art, taken as a regional matter, and relied on the idea of taking “farmland as canvas, farmers as artists, farm produce as art work.” Farming village museum is the result of a decade effort. The experience of developing art within the community as well as the practice and construction it engages in has reformed a new reputation for the combination of farming village and aesthetics.
