Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 應用藝術研究所 === 102 === This report takes tools as its main creative focus, analyzes their structure and components, includes my own life experience as creative text, and then attempts to detach them from their daily use and make them vehicles of spirit and ideas. Metal work is the medium through which I communicate with my audience, establishing a series of spiritual tools based on the relationship that exists between people and tools, tools and tools.
This report is divided into four sections; chapter one starts by detailing my understanding of tools, using my love and observation of tools to transform them into objects that reflect emotion and are imbued with perception. Chapter two uses the appearance of mechanical components to craft body objects that correspond to parts of the human body. Wearing these and the physical sensation of doing so conveys my reflections on modern society. Chapter three takes my experiences and feelings at using technology products and transforms them into a series of works that reflect on the influence technology has had on me, while considering whether it will make life better or mark the beginning of a different type of alienation? Chapter four reexamines my works in different periods and through an analysis of creative form and materials attempts to clarify my own creative path.
