碩士 === 德明財經科技大學 === 行銷管理系 === 102 === In an increasingly complicated environment, organisations nowadays cannot exist independently in our society without exchange and interaction with external environment and resources. As such, an open and dynamic system is created. Any actions by the organisation will be controlled by the external environment. Conversely, any consequences resulting from decisions made by an organisation will affect related external resources. This research uses the Pharmacist Association of R.O.C as its research subject. As a professional organization, the Pharmacist Association plays an important role in facilitating communication and negotiating for resources between pharmacists, government and the public. The requests of professional bodies often result in major influences to society and industry profits. Therefore, in campaigning about policies and putting matters into action, the association must form a link with related profit organizations in order to utilize external resources to run the organization. This is its unique societal network. In the workings of network relationship, besides the uniqueness of an association being a factor affecting social network formats and structures, the existence of internal organizational leaders also plays a key role in the running of societal networks. Hence, this research explores the societal network format of the Pharmacist Association of R.O.C and the role its leadership plays, as well as the effect on societal networks.
