Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北醫學大學 === 醫療器材產業碩士專班 === 102 === The Ti-25Ta alloy was characterized via optical microscopy, scanning electron
microscopy, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, hardness test,
contact angle test and biological assay. It was found that the volume fraction of the
needle-like ?恁? martensite phase decreased with increasing the heat treatment
temperature. When the alloy underwent heat treatment at temperatures between 700°C
and 1000°C, its microstructure was essentially a (?? + ?恁?) phase structure. The
hardness test results for the TTa-3 sample exhibits the maximum Hv value to those
samples around Hv743. For the TTa-3 and TTa-4 samples, they exhibit a relatively
hydrophilicity surfaces. The average contact angles of the TTa-3 and TTa-4 samples
are 73° and 69°, respectively. Moreover, the MTT assay results also indicated that the
heat treated samples were not released toxic metallic ions to cells. These results and
features can be useful in further understanding the relationship between the
microstructure, mechanical behavior and biocompatibility of the alloy, to
development as a potential biomedical alloy.
