Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 能源與冷凍空調工程系碩士班 === 102 === The pollution caused by using artificial building materials, interior decorations and furnishings in modern architecture would probably lead to more pollution to the indoor air quality. The human health risk in this environment cannot be neglected. If the poor indoor air quality has not been improved over a long period of time, the inhabitants would easily have Sick Building Syndrome and Building Related Illness (BRI). Therefore, in order to keep Taiwanese people healthy and maintain a good living environment, Environmental Protection Administration of Executive Yuan has provided the Indoor Air Quality Guidelines. This study analyzes the indoor air quality of libraries and nursing homes in a confined condition by using numerical modeling.
This study used ANSYS FLUENT 14.5 to analyze the distribution of indoor airflow fields. The analysis is conducted by simulating the human carbon dioxide emission and observing the spread of carbon dioxide in different spaces, comparing with air age and then finds out the improvement of each space with more simulation and comparison. The result shows that even under the circumstance of providing make-up air in the library, though the proportion of carbon dioxide has decreased, the air convection still need to be strengthened for avoiding the accumulation of carbon dioxide. With sufficient make-up air, the nursing home A would receive effective improvement of indoor air quality. At the entrance of nursing home B, the proportion of carbon dioxide is lower than the other area. In order to resolve carbon dioxide accumulation in the inner area, the windows are open to strengthen the air convection for improving the indoor air quality. Because the nursing home C is more spacious than the other two, the accumulation of carbon dioxide is not very obvious. The indoor air quality has improved after opening the windows.
