碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 電腦與通訊研究所 === 102 === Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) is a kind of online learning platforms. Most MOOCs platform are restricted by member account and courses, so guest can’t watch course videos directly. Even be a registered member also can’t review course videos unless join the course. Therefore, in this thesis, we base on open source software, PHP Melody, to implement a friendly and easy to use MOOCs platform. The proposed MOOCs platform integrated with lecture recording system for use in TaipeiTech. It provided living video with online discussion rooms that the user can ask questions or discuss immediately. The proposed MOOCs platform also provided private notes to record text and timestamp for user easy to find the video key points. This proposed MOOCs platform is designed by MVC (Model-View-Controller) software architectural pattern. We also apply the Smarty Template Engine which separate the PHP logical and visual design of the platform to simplify the development process and increase the design flexibility of the interface.
