Interviews are performed on the business owners and senior human resources director to understand student employment situation. A feasible method to improve and the operation mode of technical colleges can be summarized from the industry point of view to provide all relevant units as a reference application. Therefore, the phenomenon of the gap between learning and applying of enterprises requirement and the students training from technical colleges can be shortened, and thus, helping schools and enterprises work together to create a new strategy on the talent development plan. The semi-structured interviews was carried out in this study, to explore the gap between learning and applying of enterprises employing and the talent development from technical colleges from industry point of view. Through interviewing with senior executives of four NB foundry industries and twenty-two industry experts, the results can be concluded as follows: Industry experts believe that the mission of the technical colleges is to develop the professional and technical skills, however, the academic curriculum and enterprises cannot be closely linked, resulting in causing this gap even worse. As for personnel training, the industry needs are not satisfied either, and as for the research and development, more attention should be taken on the specific research related to the enterprises, toward pluralism, and to enhance the quality of technical and vocational education. Based on our research results, hereby provides the following recommendations: 1. The government policy of promoting industry-university cooperation extended to all industries and businesses. 2. To help the industry and education establish a two sides mechanisms for cooperation, set up a line with expectations of the talent development of both sides. 3. The technical and vocational education should be injected for more teaching resources, including the instructor training, the hardware and software updates of vocational education. 4. Strengthen the instructors on the practical experiences from industries to make the teaching content more practical, and thus, helping students to increase their practical skills. 5. To make the students to develop a correct attitude of employment in order to avoid the problem of having higher education degree but working at a lower level position or even refused to accept it.
