Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 機電整合研究所 === 102 === Because of the rapid increase in the number of manufacturing technologies, multi-axis machine tools have attracted much attention from the manufacturing industry in recent decades. Multi-axis machine tools are frequently applied to the manufacture of mechanical parts with complex surfaces possessing highly uneven geometric characteristics. Therefore, this study simulated and analyzed machining paths for a given nonuniform rational B-spline (NURBS) surface and three types of five-axis machine tools. The simulated machining paths can be employed to validate the feasibility of the applied five-axis machine tools and can be applied to the discussion of machining path selection conditions when a six-axis machine tool is used for machining the NURBS surface. The NURBS surface is considered in this study because it is widely applied in the modeling of mechanical parts owing to its common mathematical characteristics for representing free-form surfaces.
