Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 製造科技研究所 === 102 === This study uses a Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) and a Virtual Point Source Laser (VPSL) to create an ultra-narrow linewidth external cavity diode laser system (ECDL). Fiber allows a stable long cavity and very good output transverse mode, essentially TEM00 mode. With a VPSL diode, 70% of laser light can be coupled into the optical fiber, which allows a good optical feedback and a higher output power. The free running linewidth of this ECDL was measured as 12 kHz. The wavelength of this ECDL can be tuned by either changing the applied stress or the temperature of the fiber grating, and this laser can be frequency stabilized to a D2 transition frequency of 87Rb.
